The Next 125 Years

As we celebrate 125 years of The Downs Malvern, we are excited to share the beginning of a bold and positive new chapter for our school. As part of our long-term vision, we are announcing our intentions to relocate The Downs Malvern to join our senior school campus from September 2027 — bringing our family of schools closer together, strengthening our shared identity and opening up new opportunities for our pupils.

While our location will change, the heart of our school; our values, our community and our commitment to exceptional award-winning education, will remain firmly in place.

This will mark a new chapter in the school’s story and we look forward to engaging with every part of our school community as we shape this exciting future together.

• Accessibility – to widen the accessibility to the Malvern College Family of Schools offering.

We view the relocation of the Prep School to be analogous with ‘Moving House’ in the sense that the school community will remain the same and from 2027 the children from Nursery to Year 8 will enjoy an upgrade in accommodation adjacent to the Malvern College Campus. We will bring along our strong culture of passion for learning, pupil involvement and our values of Kindness, Courage and Respect to live alongside our senior school in Great Malvern. This will provide greater access to College facilities, staff and coaches as well as allowing us to control costs and affordability moving forward.

At the heart of our school is a close-knit community and a commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences from Nursery to Year 8. As we look to the future, a move of campus offers the chance to enhance everything we already value – while unlocking new possibilities for every child.
