It All Begins Here

Provisional Itinerary

  • 10.15-10.30 – Arrival and Welcome
    Guests arrive and will be welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits. Staff and current parents will be in attendance to share their experiences, providing a valuable insight into our community.
  • 10.30-10.45 – Adult-Led Activity
    Led by our Early Years Staff, this interactive session will introduce children to a carefully selected hands-on activity designed to encourage engagement and curiosity. The activity will be confirmed closer to the event to ensure it aligns with the children’s interests and learning needs.
  • 10.50-11.35 – Classroom Activities
    Children and parents will enjoy a free-flow experience between the Oaks (Nursery) and Reception classrooms. Multiple activity stations will be available, including tabletop activities, an introduction to after-school clubs and an exciting robotics station. Outdoor play in the playground will also be an option to burn off some energy.
  • 11.35-12 – Storytime and Preparation for Lunch
    Parent and children will gather together for an engaging storytelling session with the current Reception pupils. Afterwards, children will be guided to wash their hands in preparation for lunch.
  • 12-12.30 – Lunch in the Dining Hall
    A delicious and child-friendly meal will be served, showcasing the wonderful food that our on-site catering team would prepare on a daily basis. This time provides an excellent opportunity to experience the nurturing dining environment at The Downs Malvern.
  • 12.30-13.00 – Outdoor Learning and Smallholding Activities*
    Children will explore hands-on learning in our beautiful outdoor spaces. They will visit the smallholding for a farming activity with our very our pigs, while another group will have the option to participate in a forest school session, engaging in nature-based learning and exploration.
  • 13.00 – Event Finishes
    You will have an opportunity to ask our team any final questions you may have before heading home.

*Don’t forget to bring wellies, waterproofs/puddle-suits and a warm change of clothing!
