Our Year 6 pupils recently took part in the annual Magic of Science Day at Malvern College, a fantastic opportunity to take their scientific knowledge to the next level in a new and inspiring environment. The day was packed with hands-on experiments and engaging activities across Chemistry, Biology and Physics, all designed to spark curiosity and deepen scientific understanding.
In Chemistry, pupils explored exothermic and endothermic reactions, observed colour changes, and experimented with acids, alkalis and indicators. The Biology session delved into the five human senses, with fun investigations into taste, smell, hearing, touch and sight. Finally, in Physics, pupils conducted their own experiments to discover the science behind soap bubbles and what affects how long they last.
The experience of learning in Malvern College’s outstanding laboratories, supported by their expert teaching staff, made the day even more special.
This enriching science day not only broadened our pupils’ knowledge but also helped build their confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills. A huge thank you to Malvern College for welcoming us so warmly and inspiring the next generation of young scientists.
