There was much excitement in EYFS yesterday afternoon when Pre-Prep hosted an afternoon of amazing activities to promote the learning of tricky words and phonics.
Lots of Reception and Nursery parents came along to join the children as they performed many, many wonderful activities including: finding and reading words in the dark using UV torches; revealing words written in wax using paint; ordering lettered washers on a bolt; fishing for keywords from a pool; stamping out letters and words in dough; and scratchcard and balloon keywords. There were well-earned cakes for everyone afterwards!
A very special thank you to all the parents who were able to join us, and thank you to all the boys and girls for showing such wonderful enthusiasm – and for being great little helpers to their parents!
