Steve brings a background in Psychology and Zoology alongside a deep curiosity about how we learn. Inspired by the work of David Attenborough and Jane Goodall, he developed a fascination with animal behaviour and went on to travel widely through Southeast Asia, Australasia, and North America. His early interest in Educational Psychology led him into teaching, where he quickly found his passion for making learning accessible and engaging.
As Deputy Head Academic, Steve plays a key role in shaping the school’s academic vision, balancing the needs of every department with a clear-eyed focus on pupil progress. He thrives on the challenge of helping children grow into independent, confident learners and is energised by the daily variety of prep school life.
