Lauren brings international experience to her role as Admissions Manager, having previously taught across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Texas before relocating to the UK with her husband, young son, and two dogs. Transitioning from teaching into admissions felt like a natural step, allowing her to continue supporting children and families in a new way.
She immediately felt at home at The Downs Malvern and loves being part of a welcoming, close-knit community. One of her favourite things is seeing children enjoy a real childhood; making dens, skipping rope, and exploring the outdoors.
Lauren is continually impressed by the dedication of the teaching staff and values the school’s focus on both learning and wellbeing. While she sometimes misses a Philly cheesesteak or authentic Tex-Mex, she’s fully embraced life in the UK, especially the beautiful countryside, the chance to walk everywhere, and what she describes as an “exceptional selection of biscuits.”
