On Thursday, our Year 6 pupils travelled to the magnificent Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon. On arrival, the pupils joined an action-packed drama workshop, led by the Royal Shakespeare Company. The children all showed off their fabulous talent and thoroughly enjoyed the activities.
After a delicious lunch the children settled in the theatre to watch the matinee performance of ‘The Boy in the Dress’ by David Walliams. A heart-warming comedy which comes to the stage for the first time in a musical. The show was amazing with a brilliant set, impressive costumes, fabulous lighting, acting and superb music.
At the end of the show there was a one-to-one question and answer session with the entire cast. This was a wonderful opportunity and the children asked some really interesting questions about stage engineering, automation and choreography.
A big thank you to Royal Shakespeare Company for making the day so wonderful and inspiring for our Year 6 children!
