We’re delighted to be featured on the front cover of the spring/summer edition of Absolutely Education!
This edition includes a four-page feature on The Downs Malvern, with a special focus on the school’s rich and varied extracurricular programme. From sport, music and drama to Forest School, farming, and even engineering on our miniature steam railway, the article explores how these opportunities help pupils develop confidence, creativity, and a genuine love of learning.
Headmaster Andy Nuttall speaks about the importance of enrichment in a child’s education — from Saturday morning Hobbies to the benefits of accessing Malvern College’s exceptional facilities. It’s a powerful reminder of how a well-rounded education nurtures not just academic success but the whole child.
The front cover image was taken on our school smallholding and captures a group of pupils alongside one of our Oxford Sandy and Black pigs — a scene that perfectly reflects the hands-on spirit of life at The Downs Malvern.
