Welcome ...

From the moment you set foot in our Boarding House, we strive to create a home from home through a nurturing and caring environment. The sense of community is very strong in the Boarding House, the children mix and socialise together throughout the week and enjoy each other’s company. We focus particularly on kindness and consideration towards others. Wellbeing and happiness for the whole boarding community are at the heart of all that we do.

The Downs Malvern offers a vibrant and welcoming home from home to boys and girls who are full, weekly and flexi boarders. Dorms have between 4 and 8 beds, and children share a dorm with boarders of a similar age.

The recently refurbished common rooms are light, bright and well-equipped communal spaces where the boys and girls meet each evening to chat, play games, email or phone home or have a snack before bed.

We have a mixture of quiet time along with activities that include, games in the sports hall, free time on the adventure playground, apple picking in the orchard, cricket and football on Brock meadow, tennis on the courts, instrumental practice in the Music School, and walks and picnics on the Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
