Second-Hand Uniform Shop

The Downs Malvern operates its own second-hand uniform shop, situated at:
The Downs Malvern, Brockhill Road, Colwall, Worcestershire, WR13 6EY.

It is very kindly run on a voluntary basis by one of our mums, Veronica Buttenshaw who can be contacted on (07484 794781) or email ( veronica.buttenshaw@gmail.com).

As per the recent government announcement, we are pleased to inform that we will be opening the Second-Hand Shop by appointment only from Monday to Friday, week commencing April 12th. Please contact  Veronica directly to make an appointment via email or whatsapp (veronica.buttenshaw@gmail.com, mobile 07484 794781).

15-minute slots will be allocated to each parent between 9am to 12:30pm, hand gel and masks will be provided.

Parents wishing to drop uniform items off, must also make an appointment.

Once the summer term starts, the Second-Hand Shop will resume its normal opening hours (Monday and Thursday from 8:10am to 9am and Saturday 9am – 9:45am.) No appointments will be needed, but only one parent at a time will be allowed in the shop at any given time.

As term restarts it is appropriate to modify the protocols to reflect the changing needs of the parents. As a consequence, the appointments system will be cancelled. Nevertheless, access to the shop must still reflect heightened awareness for social distancing amongst users. Therefore:

  • Effective Monday 7th September, appointments will no longer be required.
  • Shop opening hours will be:

Mondays and Thursdays from 08.10 – 09.00 hrs; and,

Saturdays from 09.00 – 09.45 hrs.

  • Only one parent and/or their child may enter at any time. Other parents are required to wait outside observing Government social distancing guidelines.
  • Hand gel will be available for parents and children.
  • All parents will require a face mask in the shop (available in the shop for those not bringing their own).
  • A box will be provided at the shop entrance for parents wishing to donate used clothing for future sale. It is requested that only washed, reasonable quality items are donated.
