Second-Hand Uniform Shop

The Downs Malvern operates its own second-hand uniform shop, situated at:
The Downs Malvern, Brockhill Road, Colwall, Worcestershire, WR13 6EY.

It is very kindly run on a voluntary basis by one of our mums, Veronica Buttenshaw (07484 794781 or email veronica.buttenshaw@gmail.com).

Given the current health concerns, the second-hand uniform shop must operate under a stricter set of conditions until Government guidelines allow otherwise.

Effective 1st August the shop will open by appointment only under the following protocols:

  • Only parents with appointments may enter the shop;
  • Appointments will be available in 15-minute time slots from 9am to midday on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays;
  • Appointments may be made by contacting Veronica Buttenshaw via Text/WhatsApp (07484 794 781) or email veronica.buttenshaw@gmail.com;
  • Surgical gloves will be provided for parents entering the shop should they wish to use them and hand gel at the door;
  • If parents wish to donate used clothing a box will be provided at the entrance into which they should be deposited. It is requested that only washed, reasonable quality items are donated.
  • It is requested that only one parent with the child(ren) requiring the uniform enter the shop.

These conditions will be reviewed, and hopefully be relaxed, once Government guidelines so allow.

To re-iterate, the shop will not be open for ‘walk-ins’ on the first day returning to school or the weeks thereafter, so parents are encouraged to review their clothing requirements in advance and make an appointment to meet their needs.
