World Book Day was celebrated in style this year. The day began with ‘The Big Read’ – the whole school was silent as every child -and member of staff- enjoyed taking time out to read for pleasure. The day continued with the celebration of literature in lessons and an exciting lunchtime book quiz. We certainly love literature at The Downs and it was lovely to take time out today to celebrate our love of literature and to see so many fantastic costumes in school.
