11+ Scholarships
Pupils currently in Year 6 – either at The Downs Malvern or at other schools – can apply to be considered for an 11+ award which will apply over Years 7 and 8.

These awards are for pupils who demonstrate excellence or potential in one or more of the following five areas: Academic, Art, Drama, Music and Sport. The amount awarded will vary depending upon the individual and on the funds available.
It is hoped that a pupil receiving an 11+ award should also demonstrate the potential to gain a similar award at 13+ at their next school – either at Malvern College, or at an alternative school. In particular, we look for candidates who not only demonstrate a passion and talent for their specialism but who will maintain their commitment throughout Years 7 and 8 and act as good role models, encouraging and inspiring other pupils to share their interests.
Bursaries
A limited number of bursaries are available to families who require a degree of financial support in order for their child to come to / remain at the school. There is no fixed amount and awards are based entirely on an individual family circumstances and the funds available.
