Nursery Education Funding
We participate in the Nursery Education Funding Scheme and offer the free nursery education entitlement of 15 hours for eligible 3-4 year olds. We also offer the extended funding of up to 30 hours for those parents with an eligibility code. These hours can be used during any of the sessions that your child attends. No funding will be available until a signed parent declaration form is received detailing the required sessions.
Nursery Enrichment Charge
At The Downs Malvern, we pride ourselves on the quality of our care and provision. The extensive list of activities and resources we offer within the nursery includes a cooked meal and dessert in our dining hall, morning and afternoon snacks, singing and music sessions, extensive grounds including farm animals, languages, drama, PE, cooking (all ingredients supplied), Forest School, gardening, and hymn practice.
Therefore, children with funding entitlement will be charged a £3 per hour enrichment fee on funding hours to support these activities. To comply with the requirements of the Early Years Funding Scheme, we invoice these sessions based on the number of weeks in the term. As each term is a different number of weeks long it means that the fees will vary each term.
