Football shares the Lent term with hockey. There are teams from Under 9 level up to Under 13.

Years 3 and 4 play 6-a-side football on 'Brock Meadow'. A, B and C teams are selected, where possible, to play matches against other schools. At this age, the emphasis is most definitely on learning basic skills and team work. Enjoyment and participation come before winning.

Years 5 and 6 play 7-a-side Football on 'Main Games'. Sometimes, they play matches as separate Under 11 and Under 10 teams. Again, there are A, B and C teams. Every effort is made to ensure that all boys have the opportunity to represent the School.

Years 7 and 8 see the introduction of 11-a-side. Skills continue to be built upon, whilst learning an appreciation of positions on a larger pitch. There are regular 1st and 2nd XI fixtures played against the wonderful backdrop of the Malvern Hills.

Albion Foundation football coaches now run a very popular after-school club, available to boys and girls in Years 3 to Year 8.
